Confirmed from Cherry Creek Valley Ecological Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Cherry Creek Valley Ecological Park

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (569 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

well-maintained 5 mentions

“Very clean, safe little nature spot that a family with kids can enjoy for a few hours on a hot day.”

🏞️ beautiful scenery 4 mentions

“Very nice park and a beautiful park to walk around and take pics!”

This park is right off the trail where I live. I love to walk here it is beautiful. The trail is well maintained considering a lot of it is the Cherry Creek concrete bike trail. The path going through the ecological Park is a gravel Trail that's well maintained.

This park is one of our all time favorites!! It has a gazebo and picnic tables. Then a little pathway with a teepee and a pretend homestead cabin. Then if you take the path down the stairs and over the boardwalk you end up at the creek area with awesome rocks and a really great spot to hang out and play in the water!

★★★★★ — Brittany , May 2023

Nice hike trail with a lot of wildlife and fruit trees. Lots of apple, crabapple, and hawthorns. It is a great crawfish catch and release location.

★★★★★ — Burak , Jun 2022

It's a wonderful place to walk or bicycle. There's an abundance of running water and workout equipment strewn about. You'll never feel underwhelmed by your environment. It's a tad busy, but nothing wild. Enjoy the outdoors this summer! Come on, just try one of the trails!

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
