Confirmed from Chimney Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Chimney Park

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (381 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

🏞️ beautiful scenery 8 mentions

“I didn't know that part when I went out there but it was worth the run on a beautiful day.”

🌾 quiet & peaceful 4 mentions

“Beautiful place if you want some peace and quiet.”

This park is precious! There are so many little things made of natural or repurposed materials. Feels enchanted. You can also go on a nice walk down the east side trail. A must go place for fresh air and nature therapy.

Chimney Park is a beautiful park full of nature and serenity. I went there with my twin teens and they really enjoyed themselves. The park also leads to a walking trail. We walked, talked and sometimes we just silently enjoyed the lovely sounds of nature.

★★★★★ — Mama , Sep 2019

This little park is great. It's not going to have slides or swing sets, but it does have an impressive tree house. It's also a great trail-head for the paved trail, especially if your training routine requires that you do hills.

★★★★★ — Ralph , May 2024

This park is small and tucked behind a health department building. Don't miss it. There are some fun things to climb on and the remnants of an old house that burned down in the 1980s. A 2.5 mile paved trail begins in the park and leads through a neighborhood and through the woods. Kids and adults enjoyed it.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
