Confirmed from Big Haynes Nature Trail's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Hiker's spot amid woods and wetlands offering an array of marked routes for walking and mountain biking, plus picnic areas.
What runners say about Big Haynes Nature Trail
“This is such a beautiful series of trails.”
“Well marked with informational signs along the way telling you about the different plants you see.”
“Not crowded at all, very peaceful!”
This has multiple trails to walk on or bike. I only walked two of them. Neither was very hard but both were nice. Nice place for a stroll and maybe see some animals.
Great trail just make sure you got your trail shoes. Lots of rocks, tree roots and dirt but the views are amazing!
For the love of God do not forget bug spray. Now that that's out of the way this is probably going to be my new favorite hiking spot. I recently moved to Conyers and have been looking for hiking trails. This one did not disappoint aside from the humidity and bugs it was a lovely hike.
An excellent place for a routine run, I wouldn't really say hike since the terrain is not rough. My dog really enjoyed her time through here, it appears on maps to be pretty big, but we weren't able to venture to far out. Hopefully next time we can make the whole thing.

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- SurfaceMixed — more than one surface along the route, so check the segment you plan to run
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- At the trailheadparking, restrooms — reported by runners
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
