Confirmed from Cricket Frog Trail Downtown Covington's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

I enjoy walking here. I alternate my daily walking to Stone Mountain and here. Since December have been doing most of my walking here. I luv this trail.

I love walking this trail. Everyone I've encountered is nice and respectful. It's a nice trail with views of both beautiful neighborhoods and nature. ##Update: While I still love walking this trail, my walking buddy and I and have noticed that there are a lot more spiders along the way lately.

Fun paved trail. I measured only 4.22 miles from the parking deck to where the bridge is out. Hope they fix the bridge soon.

★★★★☆ — Tim , May 2021

We love the Cricket Frog Trail! We typically enter the wide, paved rails to trails path from Legion Field. We can go west for more of an urban experience (ie, restaurants, cafes, ice cream & coffee shops) or east for a more rural, country experience.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
