Confirmed from City Pond Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about City Pond Park

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (213 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

well-maintained 5 mentions

“Unlike previous reviewers I found the equipment to be clean and in good maintenance.”

🌾 quiet & peaceful 3 mentions

“Very peaceful little place, the sound of the flowing water was very relaxing!”

It's a good little park. It has a small walking trail, swings, slides, and places to fish. The playground equipment is in full sun all day so the equipment is faded a little and it's hot.

★★★★☆ — Jordan , Mar 2025

As far as Winder parks go, it's pretty good. Drawbacks include no shade, dated playground, and muddy environment if it's just rained. Also, no restrooms. But kids don't really care about all of that. Good things include a great concrete path to ride bikes or toys.

★★★★☆ — Martin , May 2026

It could use some sprucing up but it is a nice park with plenty of grass, water, and places to sit and play for adults and children. There are shade trees. There is a stream and a lake. Overall it's a good park. There is a paved path that is good for younger children to ride scooters or bikes or for adults to walk.

★★★★☆ — Cory , Nov 2020

What a hidden gem! There were two sets of swings, plenty of slides and things to crawl on, and a walking path around it. Our kids--ages ranging from 2-12--all had a blast. We will go back!

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
