Clam Bayou is a body of water with parks on both sides. On the Gulfport side it’s next to the marina. There aren’t bathrooms but there is water and a kayak drop. A nice trail to walk. On the other side of clam bayou there is another park with bathrooms and docks and boardwalks.
Great little spot, tucked away and off the main roads. Set on the end of a jaunt of land just east of Gulfport. Quite little area with a long history, in the 1990s it underwent a overhaul and restoration that restored it to a little gem of old Florida.
Great place for a shady hike, bird watching, and fishing! Saw parakeets, osprey, blue and grey herons, wood ibis, and pelicans! Didn't get a chance to kayak here but heard it's a nice kayak spot as well
Cute area to walk. Dogs must be leashed. Boardwalks, gravel trail, kayak launch, bird watching, picnic area, and benches to sit and take in the beauty. When you are done take a stroll through the neighborhood and admire the eclectic homes in the area.
