Confirmed from Claremont Fire Trail's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Claremont Fire Trail
“It's off-leash dog friendly, gorgeous views, beautiful trees and birds, and a butt kicking workout.”
This little hike is a ball-breaker for its steepness, but it's brief (maybe 45 minutes up and down the first leg). When I reach the first tier, I'm breathless and sweaty and surrounded by beauty on all sides; it's an immediate head-clearer.
My favorite local hike. It's off-leash dog friendly, gorgeous views, beautiful trees and birds, and a butt kicking workout. Wear shoes with good tread, it can be slippery and rocky in areas.
I love this hike. Wear hiking boots. Prepare for a sweat and amazing views. Tons of trails if you want to keep going!
Offers a great hike. It's can be fairly steep at times but can also be a short everyday trail for a good view. There's some good spots along the way to relax under shade and get the bay view. You could always consider carrying a stick.

- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
