Confirmed from Clifton Park Town Center Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Clifton Park Town Center Park

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (29 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

🏞️ beautiful scenery 3 mentions

“Then we would be stuck with a big empty building and parking lot here, instead of a scenic pleasant park.”

🏃 great for running 2 mentions

Beautiful scenery for a walk! Our dogs loved the paved walking path. Small parking lot. Be mindful that Google maps has the parking lot in the wrong location it’s one street past where it currently shows. Trashcans nearby. Recommend.

★★★★★ — Nicole , May 2023

A nice place for a short walk. Great parking, with a lot at each end of the trail. The paved trail is about 0.5 miles one-way. Benches for relaxing. Garbage cans are available and maintained. Dog-friendly.

Great for running. If you are lucky, you might run into some members of the amazing shenendehowa cross country team!!!

★★★★★ — Dylan , Dec 2024

Lovely paved park trail, connects Maxwell Drive and Moe Road. There is one porta potty on the Maxwell Drive side, at least as of November 2023. This is a perfect short walk for bikers and strollers wishing to avoid Rte 146. No playground, no water facilities. The path is lit at night.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

The practical stuff

  • AccessOpen 24 hours — no gate to beat, so a 5am or a 10pm run both work
  • SurfacePaved — asphalt or concrete. Fast and predictable, runnable year-round, and fine with a stroller
  • DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
  • ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
  • LightingRunners report lights on the path — useful for pre-dawn and after-work miles. Lighting and opening hours are separate things, so check both.
  • At the trailheadparking — reported by runners
  • DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
  • Stroller / wheelchairReported as smooth and step-free enough for a running stroller or a chair.
