Confirmed from George T. Smith Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Park with shaded picnic tables, a playground, a basketball court, and tennis courts, plus trails.
What runners say about George T. Smith Park
“Wear from the seasons is showing just a little, but cracks were recently sanded open, filled, and sealed, leaving things again in great condition.”
“One of our favorite spots to hang out on a hot day because it is almost completely shaded and has BEAUTIFUL trees and some short trails behind the playground.”
“Merry ground, baby and regular swings, several slides for all ages and some small nature paths.”
One of the most beautiful parks you can go to to! Full of shade, small natural trail that we did for easter egg hunting. Nice playground with plenty of benches for adults to sit. Parking amd a tennis court!
In our opinion, this is the loveliest playground in the area! Shaded, with interesting play sets, access to fields and a hiking trail, this park/playground is a wonderful find. The whole playground is shaded, with picnic tables and plenty of parking available. There's no restrooms (just a portapotty).
Good park for both young and older kids with lots of shade. Has play areas for 2+ and 5+ years olds. Merry ground, baby and regular swings, several slides for all ages and some small nature paths. Basketball, tennis courts and a seasonal porta potty.
One of our favorite spots to hang out on a hot day because it is almost completely shaded and has BEAUTIFUL trees and some short trails behind the playground. Definitely check it out!
