Confirmed from Coal Miner's Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Coal Miner's Park
“Fairly clean most of the time and the nicest part of the bike trail is located here.”
“Through the woods is the most beautiful part of the bike trails here in town.”
Review Date: September 16th, 2016 Coal Miner’s Park is a nice little retreat from the hecticness that adulthood can bring. It offers some walking trails that can also be biked on. They also have some open fields for whatever use you could use them for? Don’t quote me on that!
Through the woods is the most beautiful part of the bike trails here in town. I hope they finish the bike trail where it stops at Allen road
Been there several times in the past and know I have posted many pictures over that period of time. I'm sure I've done a review in the past also, but then again maybe not. The trails are paved with asphalt that are wide and smooth. Easy to maneuver and not super long.
Fairly clean most of the time and the nicest part of the bike trail is located here. Restrooms are never open anymore though.

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- SurfacePaved — asphalt or concrete. Fast and predictable, runnable year-round, and fine with a stroller
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
