Confirmed from Conowingo Park and Octoraro Creek Trail's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

I have been here a coupe of times and there have never been more than three other people. There's also a Park and walking paths. Wether your on a road trip and need a place to stretch your legs or your trying to get to a place along the Susquehanna River or both i recommend going here.

If you're looking to get out into nature and have a clear pathway leading you around this is the trail for you . Super easy to follow with lots of "secret" side trails leading to the banks of the river . Great for dog walking and lots to see and explore!

Both awesome for different reasons... Really enjoyed trails along the water with many beautiful photo ops! Rich natural quiet safe flat walking area. Have seen dear beaver butterflies and birds so far. Today we were the best dressed hikers LOL more pictures to follow when they get off my non wifi camera!

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

🏞️ Scenic views 7 mentions

“There is a paved loop and you can walk out by the creek for some amazing views.”

Plan your run at Conowingo Park and Octoraro Creek Trail

The practical stuff

  • AccessOpen 24 hours — no gate to beat, so a 5am or a 10pm run both work
  • SurfacePaved — asphalt or concrete. Fast and predictable, runnable year-round, and fine with a stroller
  • DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
  • ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
