Confirmed from Corona de Loma Trail's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Casual network of trails for hiking and mountain biking with moderate to easy options.
What runners say about Corona de Loma Trail
“Be careful to stay on the map because it is easy at some points to go on what look like trails ( perhaps were maintained trails in the past) but are no longer well maintained.”
“Fun, and tough to the summit, a real growler of a about a mile but very beautiful!”
“Wonderful easy hike on our last day In Arizona.”
Nice, mostly flat trail network. Looks like good riding, too. We walked, hiked, and jogged a bit. It's a good spot if you're close.
The first mile was moderate. Then that Climb! Omg! I'm glad I did this new trail today. We went up Corona De Loma, looped around the National Trail and Descended back thru Old Man Trail for a total of just a bit over the 7 mile mark. Great Work out!
Awesome trail! Leads into several other trails that are also fun to hike. Some parts are going a rocky path but doable. Have to watch for the bikers. You can spend hours just hiking in different areas.
Always clean, quiet, cozy and breath-taking. The ease of this trail is key when taking littles on a hike in the desert without overtly working them to hard.
Trail conditions & character
“Trails for everyone from the beginner who want to hike flatter trails to the more experience that likes to climb vertically challenging peaks.”
“The Google maps to Corona de Loma trailhead routes to a place in a residential area where it is possibly to park by the side of the road and get onto the trail system.”
“That was a little more rigorous, especially near the top of the mountain, but the views were pretty good from up there.”
“I started with the Warpaint loop, which is not too tough and reasonably well maintained.”
“Some parts are going a rocky path but doable.”
“I will give it 5 stars but there are no restrooms and no water fountains either.”
