Confirmed from Crabtree Creek Trail access' own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

This is a really nice trail especially for biking. I have seen some Deer on my ride. So pretty with the river close by. There are some steep hills so watch yourself. Park benchs along the way for resting or meditating. Enjoy👍

Lovely greenery. Trail spawns in to the Capital Greenway, and Mine Creek/Lake Shelley, as well as Crabtree Mall itself.

Trail is for the most part very handicap accessible, I’m in a wheelchair and it was easy to get through the walking trail. It is very hilly at certain points. There’s also a skate park. The remains of a broken abandoned bridge. Plenty of natural scenic views, with birds, fish and possibly rabbits and other creatures.

★★★★☆ — Jennie , Jun 2024

One of the more beautiful spots in raleigh, though it has a tenancy to smell bad. The creek has a lot of junk in it like tires and shopping carts. But it is a great place to take your doggo for a walk or to ride your bike.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
