Confirmed from Crandic Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Crandic Park
“This is a small, shady park with a grill, shelter and parking lot.”
“It is just a place to park and do some walking, no benches or toys, just quiet and nature and a few cars, but well worth it.”
Very nice park to spend some down time in, nice view of the river and eagles and other birds. It is just a place to park and do some walking, no benches or toys, just quiet and nature and a few cars, but well worth it. The rest of the area around it is all developed, break in the action.
Been thirty years since I've been here, it was definitely better then, than now. The river bank used to have a lot of clearings to fish from. Now except for the parking area it's all weeds along the trail.
This is a small, shady park with a grill, shelter and parking lot. It gives access to the Iowa River and would be a good meetup for the walking/cycling trail.
