Confirmed from Creekside Park Walking Trail's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

City park with a creek and a trail that leads to Leigon Keener Park's playground.

What runners say about Creekside Park Walking Trail

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (41 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

well-maintained 3 mentions

“It's a well maintained trail with plenty of walking space and a nice little view of the creek, which can get pretty high after a good rain.”

🏞️ beautiful scenery 5 mentions

“Beautiful, easy too get lost on the trails but overall would recommend”

Beautiful walking trail. The industrial buildings and the orange sludge going into the river makes me feel at home in western PA.

Great place to get away for a little bit and walk your dog. Just keep your eyes open for snakes.

★★★★★ — Jay , Sep 2019

We are visiting my dad. (I grew up here), and brought my dog and wanted to take her on a nice walk. I never knew about this trail. It was delightful. Walking to the East goes right along the creek with several paths to the banks of the creek.

Fun little trail to take the kids on! Leads right to Leigon Keener Park, so you get to treat the little ones with a little time on the playground before heading back. It's a well maintained trail with plenty of walking space and a nice little view of the creek, which can get pretty high after a good rain.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

  • AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says

  • ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
  • DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
