Confirmed from Keystone State Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Keystone State Park

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (2,778 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

well-maintained 17 mentions

“It's very nice and clean, there is a playground for the kids, there is food concessions, a lot of parking spots, a very large (and clean) bathroom with showers and dressing room.”

🏞️ beautiful scenery 12 mentions

“It's a really beautiful park not far from a commercial area with a Sheetz and other small stores.”

Keystone State Park is a wonderful park. You can fish, kayak, hike, swim and camp here! There's a small camp store that sells bait, firewood and supplies in season. Also you can rent a kayak or canoe. Only trolling motors permitted. The lake is small... it's about a 1.10 mile walk around it.

My husband and I rented a cabin for our family reunion, as did other family members. Very nice cabins with porches! They each have a charcoal grill and a fire ring with a grill grate.

★★★★★ — Donna , Jun 2023

This was my first time camping here but the campground was clean and had newer fire rings. The trails are cleared well and provide lots of wildlife to watch. This park is definitely dog friendly almost everyone was walking a dog. Showers were ok...

This weekend's first camping trip of the season was wonderful. We had our first test-run of a new pop-up camper @ site #2 and we had such a great time. Weather was so spring-like with sunshine/rain/hotness/chilly. Hosts were very friendly, visiting us at our site from the road & chatting about life.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

  • At the trailheadparking, restrooms — reported by runners
