Confirmed from Cumberland Bay State Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

🌾 quiet & peaceful 7 mentions

We camp quite a lot, throughout the northeast and as far as Virginia Beach. This is one of the very best run parks we have ever been to. We saw park employees working and often spoke with to them. All were extremely engaging and helpful. I rarely do ratings but felt this one was worth doing.

Awesome state park with amenities. Beach, playground, laundry, hiking at Point Au Roche, ect. Only complaint was that there were no hooks or shelves to put shampoo, soap, towel, and clean clothes.

Right on the lake. Great beach. Great park for the kiddos. Great camping. Friendly staff. Private showers. Choice of powered sites...and just a short walk in the sand to the margarita hut located at ajoing Plattsburgh City Beach!

We stayed here for Memorial Day weekend and had a good time. It is a beautiful location! We have a 42ft 5th wheel with 4 kids, 2 adults and a big dog. We were in site 300. It said online that it’s only a 15amp but it is a 30amp hookup. I didn’t give full stars because the site campsites are not well marked at all.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
