Confirmed from Dames Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Public spot with 3 football fields, playground, picnic tables, a 1-mile path & Vietnam War memorial.
What runners say about Dames Park
“I didn't think they would be able to clean her up the way they did.”
This is a very nice park, the rest room was too far away from the playground though requiring a long walk or getting into the car to drive over to it. However the park does have great facilities with covered picnic areas, a playground and ball field.
We were very happy to see that the 2,000 year old native American burial Mount has been preserved and interpreted with signage. There is a paved walked path that encircles it. There are additional walking paths in Dames park, a couple of playgrounds, pavilions, ballfields, ample parking, and restroom facilities.
Dames Park is a great place to head for a walk, easy bike ride or to run your dog. It also has two nice playground spaces for your kids. The one thing I would make note of is if there has been a lot of rain, like we've seen recently, it will flood.
Safe and clean spot to stretch your legs! It’s not huge for walking but the slight incline around the football field adds variety. The playground looked like a lot of fun and the ground was all the soft impact rubber matting.

“If I had to say anything negative it would be in this wood surrounding next to the park there is an open area that goes towards a pretty steep drop off into a small river.”
