Confirmed from Damonte Ranch Trail's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

The Damonte Ranch Trail is a beautiful 3 mile loop trail which circles the Damonte Ranch Wetlands. Beautiful scenery in the Spring and Summer when the wetlands are vibrant. A level and paved hiking trail.

★★★★★ — Brendan , Aug 2023

The whole trail is paved and can completed in a loop. There are multiple forks in the trail that provide access to surrounding neighborhoods. There are stone bench's that provided great bird watching opportunities. In January, a thick sheet of ice covered the trail in the tunnel.

The park was amazing the area is gorgeous , the trail is asphalt for most of it , you can go off the trail to take pictures or what not , it's got wild horses in the area and it's just a awesome trail to hike bike or walk ..

★★★★★ — Gary , Aug 2025

Only issue is that the asphalt around the bridge is pretty chewed up, and getting worse. It's not an issue if walking or on a bike but it's hell on skates or boards. Otherwise love this area. Lots of great wildlife to see.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
