Confirmed from Huffaker Hills Trailhead's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

🌳 shaded & cool 3 mentions

“No shade, little seating and can get windy.”

Beautiful views of Reno! There's lots of rocks on the path, the incline was steep so it was alittle rough, but overall super nice and quick.

Loved this central Reno trail system! How nice to have quick easy access to some dessert trails and views. There are four covered picnic tables and a porta-potty and a garbage can. Good amount of parking and trails on both sides of the road.

★★★★★ — Alyssa , Mar 2020

Nice short but interesting trails. Good signage and a good parking area. Beyond that, any natural area is what a visitor makes it. We had fun...

★★★★★ — Mark , Apr 2021

A scenic, stashed away “diamond in the rough.” I happened to discover it just by exploring to see what was on the road. Not overrun with those out for their daily walk, just locals who want a nice stroll or to walk their dogs without the nearby hustle and bustle of McCarran and Longley.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
