Confirmed from Daniels Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Set on a high mesa, this 1,000-acre park has a rustic shelter & views of canyons & roaming bison.
What runners say about Daniels Park
“Really beautiful view and sparsely populated for late afternoon on a sunny Saturday in early November.”
“The walking trail along the ridge is great for an easy walk with the kids.”
Beautiful park with groomed pebble walking or biking path. Mild incline. Spectacular to see Bison out grazing, and the views of the front range and Denver are stunning. The new fencing does not allow for rock scrambling and so it is more challenging to take portrait photography than it was a few years ago.
Excellent park with amazing views of the valley on both sides. Bisons are an additional bonus. The walking trail along the ridge is great for an easy walk with the kids. Moreover it is less than 15 minutes drive from highlands ranch, lone tree or castle pines.
Such a beautiful, spacious park with incredible views of the Colorado mountains. There’s plenty of open space to walk, relax, or just take in the scenery, and the mountain backdrop makes it feel extra special. It’s peaceful, well maintained, and a perfect spot to unwind or enjoy some fresh air.
I drive through Daniel’s Park just about every day. I can’t say it ever gets old. I could take other routes, but I choose to take this direction. It’s beautiful, and is a chance to slow down and enjoy the beauty around us.
