Confirmed from Dave King Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Dave King Park

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (346 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

well-maintained 10 mentions

“Extremely clean, well maintained and two year old friendly equipment brought all smiles to my daughter tonight!”

🏞️ beautiful scenery 5 mentions

“The grounds are beautiful.”

Was watching a few of my granddaughters play softball they are 3 different teams and 3 different age groups. But they have a concession stand with your ballpark foods and drinks and candy's.

There are multiple playgrounds, picnic tables, softball and baseball fields, public restrooms and over a mile of paved walking trail next to the little duck river. I prefer doing my walking at old stone fort but when it is full of visitors, I go to Dave King Park.

Nice facilities. People got there early to set up tents for shade etc. during tournament. People about 3 tents down brought a huge generator but plugged it on by our tent. It was so loud and annoying that we couldnt carry on a conversation There should be rules on generators.

Dirt infields, grass outfields..pretty deadly lip where the dirt/grass meet if youre a softballer/baseballer. I believe theres a trail around it, pretty nice setting..well tried gives feelingbyoure isolated but very near all. Concession stand/bathrooms are at the 4 fields

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

🚻 Restrooms 9 mentions

The practical stuff

  • AccessOpen 24 hours — no gate to beat, so a 5am or a 10pm run both work
  • DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
  • ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
  • At the trailheadrestrooms — reported by runners
  • DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
