Confirmed from Dawson Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

well-maintained 5 mentions

“Our Yorkie loves the walk and I am happy that they keep the trail clean and dog poop picked up.”

🏞️ beautiful scenery 13 mentions

“Gorgeous, quiet, very clean and well maintained small lake.”

I dont know how any person can give less than 5 stars. The place is amazing. Great view. Several ramps for unloading paddle board kayak or whatever you want. Easy to park at least during weekdays. They have a huge playground for kids and a vpley field with sand.

Visited this nice place for photographing the mountains and it's reflection on McIntosh Lake. The park is nice like most parks in USA. I think parking is allowed on the street. There is a big trail that goes along the shore I did part of the trail. Since my interest was photography.

Absolutely beautiful 3 mile walk around the lake. Love the view of the mountains and you walk right past a beautiful farm. Love all the prairie dogs they are not scared of people or dogs. Our Yorkie loves the walk and I am happy that they keep the trail clean and dog poop picked up.

★★★★★ — Phillina , Apr 2025

This park is on the north side of McCintosh lake and is part of the 3.5 mile walking trail that goes around the lake. Plenty of parking, large grass area, concrete BB court, sand VB court, playground and picnic shelter. Easy area to get your watercraft launched into the water.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
