Very nice small park on the edge of Macintosh lake. Nice children's playground. Volley ball court. Public restrooms. Picnic facilities. Access to the 3.5 mile trail around the lake. Small boat launch (no power boats allowed). Very dog friendly. Summer outdoor free concerts.
Easy parking, easy access to the trail and the kayak launch, big trees, nice grass, clean restrooms, cute little play around. I like the bird watching here vs golden pond because the bugs aren't so bad.
I've been coming here since I was little; We used to ride our bikes here, play on the playground, eat lunch under the gazebo, and throw rocks into the lake. There's also a large grassy area that we used to play flag football on, and the whole park has a beautiful view over the Front Range.
This is a nice park with a scenic view! Clean, beautiful,well maintained, lots of open space with a nice hiking trail around the lake. Definitely a fun place for the family!
