Fantastic trail to ride. We did Deadwood->Edgemont on gravel bikes and really enjoyed the experience. The trail is well maintained for the entire distance with fewer road crossings/mile than other rail-trails I've ridden. Several nice little towns along the way for supplies/lunch.
Great trail with excellent scenery and be careful of the loose gravel.
Nothing bad to say about this place. Possibility to refill water bottles. Public restrooms are close. Kind of large parking lot. A pen would be a nice addition to the trail pass box for those who don't have one with them.
The Homestake Mine trail is a fun and fairly easy trail between Lead and Deadwood, SD. Rolling hills with most of the trail on an old railroad bed. Starting in Lead it's mostly down hill.
