Confirmed from Manheim Township Community Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

🌳 shaded & cool 4 mentions

“There is a volleyball court, a kids play area, tree-lined walkways, lots of shade, and open areas to set up games like corn hole.”

This is a pretty cool park. There is a baseball field, a playground area, a pavilion area, walking paths, and roads for driving as well. It's a great spot for Pokémon GO. And it also has a holiday light show going on at night during the winter this year.

Peaceful park. Enjoyable walking path. Friendly people. Clean. Bathrooms open and clean. Great views. Nice little hiking trail tucked in between both sides of the park. Covered pavilions. It was definitely a fun afternoon in the park.

A park that has restrooms during the summer months does not have a restroom available during the winter months it's a sunrise until 10:00 p.m. there's are there are several swing sets several places for children to play several monkey bars and sliding boards at several locations there are two baseball diamonds there…

I was here for a company picnic. It's clean and has a good amount of parking. It has a nice sized pavilion with 3 rows of picnic tables, an outdoor grill, and a building with a fridge and tables to set up a buffet. There are electrical outlets - someone was playing Pandora through a powered speaker.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

The practical stuff

  • AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
  • SurfacePaved — asphalt or concrete. Fast and predictable, runnable year-round, and fine with a stroller
  • DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
  • ShadeRunners describe real tree cover here — it makes a summer afternoon workable
  • At the trailheadparking, restrooms — reported by runners
  • DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
