Confirmed from Debbie Lightsey Nature Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

Nice little park with a looping 1 mile trail. Lots of dragonflies, excellent place to see birds, even a gator or two.

Gorgeous new park! Especially enjoyed the boardwalks. Educational signs were great and I learned a lot about the flora and fauna. Would suggest installing a sign pointing to the main trail. We went left on the paved sidewalk and it led to the back of a neighborhood. Need a restroom there but otherwise just great.

The best place to take nature photos, to walk and relax at the same time. Do you want to meditate? This is the place. Do you want to see an amazing sunset? This is the place. Personally, I love so many of the few things that there are in Tallahassee.

Beautiful relatively new park. Great place to walk and admire nature on a sunny day. There is a nice gravel trail that leads you up to and around a scenic lake. There are side trails leading to boardwalks overlooking ponds/wetlands.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
