Confirmed from Deer Creek Village Dog Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Park with benches, fenced areas and water bowls, plus a grassy area for pups.
What runners say about Deer Creek Village Dog Park
“My only complaint is that there isn't very much shade, so during summer it can get very hot!”
The meal was absolutely delicious, would definitely come again. Though I wish the meat was a bit more salted it tasted good regardless. The atmosphere was incredible, everything is incredible.
Love this dog park. Its fully fenced in and has a nice walking trail that goes around the majority of the park as well as benches to sit on around the trail. There are always plenty of dogs there, both large and small, so my dog has a lot of options for who he wants to play with. Most of the people there are friendly.
My favorite dog park. It’s big, lots of room to run for the dog, a walking path around the bark area, grass area which most people don’t use so that’s nice to play on with my dog when he wants to play with the chuck it. There is a water bowl/fountain for dogs, garbage cans and poop bags.
This is one of my pit stops when driving North from San Francisco. It's very secured(double gated), has water for the dogs, good space for them to run around and plenty of parking. Can be difficult when hot & sunny, there's barely shade.

The practical stuff
- AccessOpen 24 hours — no gate to beat, so a 5am or a 10pm run both work
- SurfaceNatural surface — easiest on the joints and the most fun, but expect roots, rocks and mud after rain
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeRunners describe real tree cover here — it makes a summer afternoon workable
- At the trailheadparking, water — reported by runners
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
