Confirmed from Helen Putnam Regional Park: Windsor Drive Trailhead's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Helen Putnam Regional Park: Windsor Drive Trailhead
When I first saw the Windsor Drive trailhead I thought "Huh?" why would anyone want to start so far away from the park? But eventually I figured out it was an opportunity to spend more time doing what I loved - hiking, exercise, enjoying the gift of nature with hills, views, heavily wooded areas rich with vegetation…
I have been coming to this gorgeous Sonoma County regional park since it first opened. The space continues to increase the number of hiking trails. I love a hike that offers me a variety of trails to choose from. I especially appreciate the numerous strategically placed picnic tables that are under oak trees.
This is the best place to hike in Petaluma. There are 6 miles of trails and wonderful views in all directions.
Walked to the top of Pomo trail to watch the sunrise, well worth the hike! Trails are clear the wildflowers are blooming and God is good!
