Confirmed from Deer Flat National Wildlife Refuge Admin Building And Visitor Center's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

An absolute gem, especially for living in Nampa or Caldwell. So much peace and quiet and unique nature sights to see/hear. As others have said, the visitors center with the free museum and outdoor garden/picnic area is a must visit! The staff are kind and welcoming.

We absolutely LOVE the trails out here!! There are several different routes that's you can take. They are all pretty easy to walk on as well. No ankle twisters that I've noticed! The wildlife is wonderful. There's are many different types of birds all over the place. I highly recommend coming here with your kids too.

Beautiful trails, great water views on the first day of spring, last bit of snow on the southern side of mountains almost gone, can't wait until the trees have leaves and everything is a glorious green!

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
