Great little park by the boat ramp. You can get to this park by taking Iowa all the way southwest or taking Lake Lowell all the way west. You can walk along the beach, swim, kayak, paddleboard, etc. The park has a men's and women's bathroom that are fairly clean for a park. There are picnic tables and trees for shade.
Great place for walking, fishing, boating, picnic but I advise NOT going in the water. It's a wildlife refuge. And there is no natural inlet or outlet for the water. Just some diverted water from the Boise River through a canal. And then they have multiple outlet canals.
If you like climbing dead trees and dipping your feet in the water to cool down it's a cool little path near the boat entrance. Not for small children or strollers. Not remote since the road is 20 ft away. But still not bad for a location in town.
We went to the big sandy beach side and this lake is huge. We have been there in the past with the skidoos and had a blast there. The water is pretty clean and there is lots of well maintained grass with lots of mature trees 🌲 here to give lot of shade.
