Confirmed from Delray Beach Mountain Bike Trail's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

🌳 shaded & cool 3 mentions

“Majority was in the shade which is nice in the summer.”

🪧 well-marked 2 mentions

“Spectacular, well maintained intermediate mountain bike trail, which was more than sufficiently thrilling while being easy to navigate .”

Great trails for the area. They have developed it better since I started riding in 2015 when visiting the area from Orlando. Now I'm in PBC and I can ride it any time. I take my Teardrop and have it blast. BBQ, rest and ride many sessions for hours.

Another great trail in Palm Beach County. I'd rate this as likely the most technical in some spots due to terrain and narrowness, but it's definitely a blast. A ton of work has been done to this trail since first time I rode it appx 5 years ago. Much more features added and more trail routes added....

Spectacular, well maintained intermediate mountain bike trail, which was more than sufficiently thrilling while being easy to navigate . (I didn’t try the advanced trail). Most parts of the trail are shaded. I spent 45 minutes on this trail in 88 degrees Fahrenheit weather.

This is a fun single track bike trail system. Most of the trails are very thin, watch out for when the trails cross over other trails deeper into the system. I only got confused once or twice when they blended in, but it’s not hard to figure out since all the signs are one way, so as long as you can easily read them,…

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

The practical stuff

  • AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
  • SurfaceNatural surface — easiest on the joints and the most fun, but expect roots, rocks and mud after rain
  • DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
  • ShadeRunners describe real tree cover here — it makes a summer afternoon workable
  • LightingRunners report lights on the path — useful for pre-dawn and after-work miles. Lighting and opening hours are separate things, so check both.
  • At the trailheadparking, restrooms — reported by runners
