Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

Nice boardwalk, easy to walk on. A lot of birds, turtles, and iguanas. We didn't see any alligators today. The Nature Center was open so we were able to get some nice pictures in there also. Three baby alligators in there, along with mounted animals, and live frogs and snakes.

Green Cay is an amazing park! If you’re looking for a great nature experience or if you love photography, this park is perfect for you. You can see iguanas, alligators, beautiful birds, and turtles. The park is free, the parking lot is large, and the walk is very comfortable and easy.

Absolutely loved this place. A local birder recommended it, and we're so glad we went. The nature center is small but has several nice displays inside, as well as Oliver the rehabilitated senior screech owl.

Fantastic place to walk, with family, on a date, with friends or alone. Beautiful scenery with 2 different loops, one is around .5 miles and the other is close to a mile.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
