I've been hiking in this area for a few years. I started out with the short loop trail then advanced to the Devil's Punchbowl trail, and then yesterday completed the Devil's Chair trail. I didn't know about the Chair trail until recently.

A truly amazing place with breathtaking scenery and fabulous hiking trails. With an elevation of 4,750 feet, the Mojave desert (Antelope Valley) is clearly in view. There is an abundance of enormous Joshua trees along the way up to this park.
If you have good knees, this is a great place to hike or just be somewhere where it's quiet. The recent fire affected this area but it still looks amazing. New restrooms and there's handicap parking as well. I was told there's a place to rock climb down the trail. Don't forget your binoculars and hydration drinks.
