Confirmed from Discovery Trail Trestle Bridge Trailhead's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

Absolutely love this trail. Great for walking and biking. You get both trees and ocean views. Highly recommend.

Very nice trail that takes you to the waterway coast. Breathtaking. Easy walk or bike.

★★★★★ — Cynthia , May 2018

Good spot for a walk or run! If you park in the lot and go across the road, there is a beautiful bridge across the river and the trail is fairly flat with just some small hills all the way to Port Angeles pier.

★★★★★ — Stevie , Apr 2018

I take this trail by bike starting 10 miles east, absolutely stunning views, the best part of the Olympic trail is right here, you pass through creeks, hills, loops, its stunning and adventurous, i recommend using your ebike for a more enjoyable experience, dress in layers, once you hit the ocean there will always be…

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
