Shaded with trees in most spots this is a great park for walking or playing on the 2 different playground sets on opposite sides of the park property. There is an open auditorium type canopied stage where there are a variety of performances that have taken place. There is a sand ground volleyball court with net.
Doubs Woods Park is a solid 4-star spot in Hagerstown. It’s a "hidden gem" specifically because of the massive, old trees that provide a ton of shade, making it one of the best places to be when it’s hot out.
Decent park. Lots of open spaces for kids to run but lots of rocks and boulders. Which depending on age could be fun. The equipment in the playground area is for older kids. My son is 2 and he could not ride the slides by himself which was fine because it was sturdy enough for me to ride with him which made it fun.
Really nice small clean Park. Wonderful for family gatherings or taking your kids out or dog for a walk. If you're a serious Walker, this is not the place for you, but it is a very calm Serene spot
