Confirmed from The Hagerstown Cultural Trail's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

Absolutely enjoyed walking along this trail in downtown Hagerstown. Lots to see and so many places to visit along the way. Will definitely do it again.

Hagerstown cultural trail is a multicultural walk through Hagerstown with art exhibits such as "The mural of unusual size" and the Muller organ sculpture. Due to the construction of the new Meredith Park baseball stadium they had taken out to of I think the better art pieces however they will be putting them back in…

It's very scenic with a mural on a building plus beautiful flowers etc. The city will be adding a water park for the kids. As you walk the trail further down you will see pictures of our citizens doing what they do best or what they did do before they retired, some are military veterans and our kids...

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

Plan your run at The Hagerstown Cultural Trail

The practical stuff

  • AccessOpen 24 hours — no gate to beat, so a 5am or a 10pm run both work
  • DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
  • ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
  • LightingRunners report lights on the path — useful for pre-dawn and after-work miles. Lighting and opening hours are separate things, so check both.
  • At the trailheadparking, restrooms — reported by runners
  • Stroller / wheelchairReported as smooth and step-free enough for a running stroller or a chair.
