Confirmed from Draper-Houston Meadows Preserve's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Quiet nature area featuring a network of trails (some along creeks and the river) for hiking.
What runners say about Draper-Houston Meadows Preserve
“Beautiful trails through open areas and through forests for running or hiking.”
“A quiet place that is peaceful to walk around for an hour or two.”
A beautiful reserve with easily walkable trails, 2.5 miles in total. In spring, the trails lead into blooming meadows and follow babbling creeks. There's a small parking area limited to about 10 vehicles. No dogs or bikes allowed. The only negative about this reserve is the TICKS. And oh Nelly there's a ton here!
Such a wonderful place to go for a quiet, relaxing walk. The signage along the way is not well posted(if at all). It is worth visiting!! I highly recommend going during the fall months, this little gem has an abundance of great Autumn colors to enjoy.
Beautiful trails through open areas and through forests for running or hiking. I loved the experience, and I thank Jesus for creating it!
Beautiful! I have live in this city my whole life and never knew this was here. Quiet and easy trail not much elevation

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- SurfaceBoardwalk — flat and scenic, and slick when wet, so watch your footing
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
