It's a great hiking place and there are many trails from easy to hard hiking levels. The one we went was very steep and good for beginners. Carrying water is better as it's too dry and no shades in many trails. We didn't see any animals other than cows grazing there. Saw few birds 🐦 Can bring pets.
A beautiful and fairly easy hike. Have challenging upward hills, prob 50-60% of mission peak difiiculty. Great for a 2-3 hr hike, and has a decent big parking lot. Really beautiful, plus it's not too hot rn (spring).
I was here on a Sunday for a hike with friends. We decided to do a 5 mile and choose the trail High ridge, Vista peak, Ziele creek and Garin wood loop. The parking is free here though I read somewhere it's paid.
