I grew up in Rochester, and as a teen I would come here in all seasons to walk on the beach, or go for runs on the many trails in the park, and the little lakes within it.
Durand Eastman park is a big place with lots of different features. On this cool spring day (2021-05-04) we took a walk through the park along Zoo Rd. What a treat!
A great place to walk through in all seasons. There are many types of trees here you don't see often around Rochester. It's beautifully designed and very well kept. The flowering trees (mainly cherries and magnolias) in the springtime are beautiful.
Nice little hike. There were no real trails where we stopped at, but we crossed a small walking bridge, crawled under some trees, and "discovered" hidden meadows. All in all, kids enjoyed the experience. Oh! and we met a snake along the way.
