This takes you back in time to the days of when the railroad was central to everything Also, it is a great example of how things were built to last back then. The path is well maintained and accessible for our grandson's who are 4 and 6 and love being active with Nana and Papa. Convenience is key too...
Fairly small park with a decent trail system packed into it. Many connections are available and other paths to take. Hojack Trail is immediately next to it as well as the Gosnell Preserve. A cascade of water is nearby as well.
A great set of small trails below the hojack trail. There is a small Boardwalk as an Eagle Scout project and and a bench with a footrest created by a Girl Scout doing her Gold Award project.
Great little spot along a creek and an old railroad grade now a walking trail. BTW, there is a small shelter along the trail with a marker indicating it is a shelter related to the railroad. I would like to know who placed the plaque and what research they conducted to make the claim.
