Confirmed from Dutchman's Landing Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Dutchman's Landing Park

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (556 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

🏞️ beautiful scenery 10 mentions

“Beautiful park with many attractions including a nice boat ramp, playground, adult exercise equipment, cafe, porta-potty, and plenty of parking.”

What used to be a major throughfare for folks coming up the river by ferry and hopping the scenic railroad to the Otis line and eventually the Mountain House, Dutchman's Landing offers access to the Hudson River as well as plenty of space and events to have fun. Walk the trail, drop your boat, or enjoy the views.

Really nice, sunny park by the water. Since it's right across the street from the courthouse, the judge has been holding wedding ceremonies down there, so that's where I come in. I photographed this cute little elopement at Dutchmen's Landing Park in September.

★★★★☆ — Little , Nov 2020

Plenty of parking and beautiful views of Hudson River, Rip Van Winkle Bridge and Olana historical site across the river. Well-constructed playground with zip line, boat launch with four ramps, multiple picnic areas and gazebo for events. It was fun watching passing Amtrak trains.

★★★★☆ — Mike , Jul 2025

Nice little park with the adequate amount of stuff (playground) for keeping kids busy 😁 plus a nice wood area for short hiking, a lake (where some people where shore fishing) , a good parking area and even a good ice cream shop 😃

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

“There weren't a ton of people there, and a surprisingly fair amount of places to take photos, considering it's mostly just a field and parking lot next to the water.”
