Confirmed from Hudson River Skywalk's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Hudson River Skywalk
“The Hudson River Skywalk is a beautiful walkway that connects the historic houses of artists Thomas Cole and Frederic Church.”
The view from this bridge has always been spectacular and now that the walkway was put in a few years ago, it makes it easier to see the views. It also connects Thomas Cole House with Olana. There's also a wonderful winery (Whitecliff) on the Columbia side of the bridge. Nice place to take a walk /hike.
The Hudson River Skywalk is a beautiful walkway that connects the historic houses of artists Thomas Cole and Frederic Church. The best part of the walkway goes over the Rip Van Winkle Bridge. The views of the Hudson River below bridge are breathtaking.
Nice 3 mile walk over the Rip Van Winkle Bridge and beyond. Trails begin on the Hudson side of the bridge - watch the signs.
