Confirmed from East Central Regional Rail Trail's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about East Central Regional Rail Trail
“Despite of recent weather storm in the area the trail is clean and the county has done a great job with maintenance.”
“The ride was beautiful and would be a lot more enjoyable with a group of people.”
“Shade, nice scenery, not too many intersections with major roads.”
I love this trail, a lot of it is covered by trees and the scenery is pretty. Right off of Garfield there's a bike station to refill tires. There's benches too. If you run on Sundays though, look out, the religious types set up camp all along the trail.
Great trail. Perfect for walking, skating, biking or hiking. Trail was well marked, well maintained and was about 8-10’ wide.
One of the best trails to run and ride on in Central Florida. Beautiful canvas of mossy oaks . It intersects with Green Springs. Volusia County does a terrific job of maintaining and keeping the trail clean.
I would definitely recommend the rail trail to anybody that likes to go bike riding looking forward to the big expansion that goes coast to coast
