Confirmed from Lake Monroe Conservation Area's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
A nature area featuring wetlands, marshes & a shoreline, offering a habitat for fish & wildlife.

“Clean bathrooms, nice docks and even camping.”
“Palm trees, creek, river, flat land & beautiful Florida sunshine!”
“Nice and peaceful, though very wild so waterproof hiking boots are recommended, the path tends to wash out after heavy rain.”
“Easy trail not difficult at all, about an hour and a half of walking.”
Nice and peaceful, though very wild so waterproof hiking boots are recommended, the path tends to wash out after heavy rain. Also be aware that hunting is allowed within the conservation area so be sure to check the sign posted on the fence before entering, and wear some form of easily visible/colorful clothing item
Very easy to find all 3 trail heads in the 415 area. I found the trail muddy in some areas and was glad to have good, waterproof hiking boots. Headed off onto what is called the yellow trail but it's not blazed.
Hiked the Brickyard Slough Tract to the St John's River. Great 4 mile round trip hike to a shelter/camping area beside the river. Watch out for the cow patties and you'll be good. Great views and fantastic scenery. Great bird watching, too - saw a bald eagle and tons of other birds.
Fantastic short hike with classic Florida scenery… dogs and horses are allowed on the trail. Palm trees, creek, river, flat land & beautiful Florida sunshine!

The practical stuff

- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- At the trailheadparking — reported by runners
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
