Confirmed from East End Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about East End Park

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (159 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

Tree fell right where we walk our dogs thank God I was at top of hill and not down in park yet.Scary buy very sureal experince

★★★★★ — Gary , Apr 2021

If you ever need a spot to take your dog to run around, I highly recommend coming here and going into the tennis courts. (Assuming they are unoccupied.) You can close the gate inside the tennis court, which gives you a lot of room to throw a ball around with your dog, ours loves it!

★★★★★ — Ian , Feb 2021

I love this little park. I like to walk here with my dog. My only complaint is sometimes other dogs are not leashed even though there are signs warning that they must be. Also, not everyone cleans up after their dog.

★★★★★ — Jodie , Aug 2017

Lots of room for kids to run around. New play area installed! Son loves it! There's also a newer Frisby golf course if that's your thing.

★★★★★ — Sherman , Nov 2022

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

The practical stuff

  • AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
  • DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
  • ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
  • LightingRunners report lights on the path — useful for pre-dawn and after-work miles. Lighting and opening hours are separate things, so check both.
  • At the trailheadparking, restrooms — reported by runners
  • DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
