Confirmed from East Glenwood Preserve's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about East Glenwood Preserve
“Beautiful day, lupines and poppies everywhere.”
My kids & I like to walk to the pond. It's about a 1.5-1.75 mile walk from the siltanen parking lot around the red loop. Some animals you may see include cows, horses, ducks, swallows, cormorants, frogs, crickets, beetles, and dragonflies. It can be very hot on sunny days, so bring water & wear sunscreen.
Leave Fido at home. This is the dog and bike free complement to the Western preserve. It has a similar trail design with various color coded loop trails adding up to a little over 4 miles if you take them all. There’s a pond with turtles fairly early if you take the red trail.
Great short hike nestled into the suburbs with lots of wildflowers and wildlife. Saw Coyote, Turkey Vulture, Rabbits, Ground squirrels, Meadow Lark (?), Stellar Jays, Banana Slug, Ducks, Cattle with young calfs, Lupins, Clover, SunCups, Poppies, …
Fabulous trails and views. Cows are neither friendly nor unfriendly. Spring wildflowers five stars!
