Confirmed from Lodato Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Lodato Park

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (145 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

🏞️ beautiful scenery 4 mentions

“Moderate trail with ups and downs, but dog-friendly and so beautiful.”

🌳 shaded & cool 3 mentions

“Beautiful scenery and a nice shady microclimate.”

Great short hike perfect for kids took me and my 6 year old less than an hr. Has plenty of parking on parking lot, we where here on Saturday and wasn't to full. The only downside is that you see dog poop on the trail and in some places you can smell it is. Is not the park fault.

★★★★☆ — Gladys , Jul 2020

Easy tail, mostly shaded. It takes less than an hour to complete the loop, good if you live within a short driving distance. We saw deer near the parking lot at the start of the trail.

★★★★☆ — Dr. , Sep 2024

Beautiful place! Top tip - don't take the scary steep looking path thinking that's part of the loop. Go straight on and it's a much safer journey to the same place

★★★★★ — Jessamy , May 2021

Nice short trail, not too difficult. Went a few days after rain and had a great time looking at a huge variety of mushrooms!

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
