Confirmed from West Glenwood Preserve's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

Looping, shady, grassy trails, great views and hiking for both novice and expert bikers and walkers, plus a paved route.

“Nice easy trail and good views.”

Beginner friendly hike. Good mix of shade and full sun trails. Great views, easy to read/follow maps. There are five parking spots right at the entrance, park is not busy during Sunday afternoon. Watch out for poison oak when making way for others to pass.

★★★★★ — T , Jun 2024

A good mix of sunny valley views and shady rest spots. Beginner-intermediate friendly. Several short loops branching off the main trail if you want to expand your hike

★★★★☆ — Natalie , Aug 2024

There are three short loops, 1 miles each. Not that difficult to walk.better for morning or evening.

★★★★☆ — Nianqing , Apr 2022

The West Glenwood Preserve is such a thrill! I love biking here so so much! The hills and trails are so much fun to ride on. There are different loops like orange, blue, yellow, green, and pink. These used to be loops, but because of the COVID-19 pandemic, it is now only one way.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
