Confirmed from Edwardsville Township Community Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Edwardsville Township Community Park

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (701 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

well-maintained 8 mentions

“(Might not have spelled that right) The bathroom I used was clean, functional, and smelled good.”

🌳 shaded & cool 3 mentions

“There is quite a bit of shaded area in the playground so the kids don't have to be so hot.”

A lot of us call it the airplane park. There are a lot of areas for different activities, an open field for whatever, and 8 different pavilions to rent out. There are two different playground areas, but both say recommended for 5-12 years of age, but slightly younger kids could do 100% of one and 85% of the other.

I have been coming to this park since I was a kid, and it has always been one of the best in the area. You have a lot of open space in the way of fields for soccer, frisbee, football, etc.

★★★★★ — Dustin , Apr 2021

Love this park. Has many pavilions to sit and eat at. I love the one play area is more for kids to use their imagination. While the other is a more typical playground. Lots of things to climb, slide or walk on. Even has areas handicapped accessible.

★★★★☆ — Shannon , May 2019

Big super nice park , 2 playgrounds , plenty of pavilions with tables, tons of parking, seen trails but didn't get to walk them . Totally suggest going if in the area ! The kids loved it !

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
